Martha, although academic in her multi-layered self-referential work, doesn’t get lost in pretension or detail. It helps that the emotion within the work is so strongly present that even without digging into the mythology of the project, its meaning is unavoidable, even just as a sensation on first listen.

On their sophomore effort Tusky, surrealist duet Robbie & Mona ascend beyond the lo-fi scrawlings of their debut album to something altogether more grandiose. Cooling off from a busy year touring with her Rough Trade-signed band Goat Girl, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and aspiring producer Holly Mullineaux unveils a new solo project. Written in a seaside apartment in Portsmouth as an attempt to make sense of a traumatic long-term relationship, ‘Island’ is an honest outpouring of love, pain and disappointment.

The original mix of ‘Folk’ — a name that alludes to humanity’s ancient nature of obsession is joined by two edits. The first from Black Midi’s DJ Dairy and the second from MM’99.

Sevdaliza is an artist who has always been at the forefront of creativity, from early videos delving into 3D render work to her outstanding sonic exploration, she, for many, stands at the vanguard of creativity itself. However even with the following she has amassed Sevdaliza remains underrated for the true creative force she is. One could say with some conviction that the music industry and the systems that be have looked to push her as an independent artist to the side. This only caused her to push back and become an artist now known for being fiercely independent from the woes of a gluttonous and exploitative industry as she forged her own path and gave herself her own dues.

Coucou Chloe’s music often sounds like it's being played through speakers at a party that have already partly blown, destroyed by sub-bass. It creates a feeling of things being pushed to their limits. Her music demands to be played loud. You must obey, listen, become dominated, dominate as its energy channels through you, characteristic in its simultaneously restless and assertive full-throttle movement. This is to all be expected by an artist who is a founding member of Nuxxe collective alongside Sega Bodega and Shygirl.

In Caroline Polachek’s world, we are surrounded by fluidity, systems and artefacts of a modern life imbued with a beauty and rich- ness that represents both the dark and the light in our world. In between these polarities of modern life lies an artist focused on the now, inherently self-aware and deeply philosophical – an artist who is compelled to express the intense emotions in life. Her creations are sewn together by the same gold thread which can be traced through all historic artistic expressions of the human condition. Listening to her music often feels like a heavy weight pressing on your chest suddenly being lifted, or the sharp inhalation of cold air at the top of a mountain just before passing out from oxygen deprivation.

Nukuluk is an experimental hip-hop collective based in South London. Their chaotic sound draws off a series of eureka moments during studio play, a broad church of influence and a symbiotic relationship within the group. Alien field recordings, warped bass drones and clattering percussion create otherworldly production landscapes, stages on which vocalists Syd and Monika can battle it out.

Zoee’s journey as an artist has been interesting, hidden at first as the anonymous vocalist from Hey QT the iconic PC music banger. She then released a smattering of her own singles at various iconic labels including Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs and Vegyn’s Plz Make It Ruins, but as an artist was not truly out of the undergrowth. In Flaw Flower her debut album however we see her given a larger space to flourish and become an artist completely in her own right.

Cix Shrimpton is an experimental electronic musician based in Catford, South-East London, who has been making music as CIX for several years. While taking much influence from contemporary pop music and deconstructed club, her music remains uncompromisingly fantastical and folkloric, aspiring to envelope the listener in story-telling and world-building musical drama.

Giant Swan return with their latest EP 'Do Not Be Afraid Of Tenderness', a tempest of cataclysmic beats, shard-like synths and howling yet vulnerable vocals. Reflecting on the projects’ foundations, the Bristol techno duo conjure memories of “sweat, undress and inebriation” and explore a newfound understanding of the power in tenderness, all the while reminding us what we are missing by not hearing music on a fat sound system.

Nasty Cherry emerge out of precious time spent in lockdown recording sessions drenched in melancholia and with a deftly crafted EP 'The Movie' in the palms of their hands. Throughout these five self-assured tracks we are led through a shattered house of mirrors where memories of past lovers and senses of self refract and merge. As you stumble out the exit you are left with a lingering sadness for what was but crucially with a sense of re-gained control of narrative and identity.

Grove is a Bristol-based artist, DJ and producer. Their debut EP 'Queer + Black' is an exploration of identity, both personal and political - a deft combination of sharp hooks and splintering beats beamed in from a club in 3021 AD. It is a fierce opening statement from an artist that brings a unique energy to their personal experiences of sexuality, society and race, all within the space of 5 exhilarating tracks.

Robbie & Mona is couple-duet, William Carkeet and Eleanor Gray, who have found a surreal creative outlet making their gorgeous scrap-book glitch pop with each other. Their debut album ‘EW’ experiments fearlessly with sonic textures and song structures, expertly toeing the line between deep emotional resonance and alienating disarray.
