Martha, although academic in her multi-layered self-referential work, doesn’t get lost in pretension or detail. It helps that the emotion within the work is so strongly present that even without digging into the mythology of the project, its meaning is unavoidable, even just as a sensation on first listen.
070 Shake - SS24 Cover
Writing
May 26, 2024
070 Shake represents a duality between inner darkness and light, between nature and urban sprawl, lucid thought and hazy dream state, vulnerability and self-assuredness. As an artist and innovator, she represents the deconstruction of harsh binaries and the forging of a new liminal space where expression and acceptance roam free.
Soul Feeder

The word community has in many ways become a vacuous marketing phrase detached from its original meaning. So it feels increasingly special to come across collectives with an actual pure spirit of community at its heart, such as Berlin based Soul Feeder.

The alacrity with which Hannah Diamond welcomes you into the world of her second album is disarmingly brilliant and brimming with confidence. A swirling pixelated sophomore whose glittering pop orbits an authentic joy; Perfect Picture feels like Hannah Diamond’s best work yet.

Do you ever imagine yourself passing through hardships, the pressures you put on yourself, structures you have become trapped within and breaking through to a place of calm and wisdom gained? How palpable the excitement within your soul would be even though you have been through so much? Or do you ever wish you could chat to someone who had overcome all of that who would tell you that everything was going to be okay on the other side? It feels not only has Jessie Ware been on this journey but is the person on the other side reaching her hand out to you, with reassurance and abundant joy.
Charles Stooke - Fine Isn't Good
Project Management
May 10, 2023
Charles Stooke’s debut EP is a groundbreaking and experimental fusion of warped jazz, glitchy electronics and chamber instrumentation. The project as a whole is pitched as a heightened and feverish art piece, drawing on Charles’ experiences of loss, disordered eating and struggles with addiction, through a sardonic and surrealist lens in which Charles Stooke comes across, in his own words, as “a bit of an idiot”.
Tlya X An - TXN
Project Management
Apr 27, 2023
Bringing a heady cocktail of hyperpop, early-2000s R&B, trap and deconstructed club music, Tlya X An's debut EP TXN is simply united by feeling so damn good. Tlya's instinctive approach to melody and production mean that every minor detail hits exactly where you want it to, while still feeling starkly new. Each ad lib and synth line hits like a drop of sherbet on your tongue, with her saccharine sense for melody perfectly balanced by a menacing sense of humor.

Park Motive - Duuust
Project Management and Artist Management
Sep 7, 2022
It is rare for a debut release to arrive with such unabashed intention, but Park Motive’s circuit-board symphonies have had more than enough incubation time. The songs on debut EP ‘Duuust’ have had various incarnations since Sam Herschmann’s beginnings playing underage parties in London in the mid 2010s, with the current six-piece line-up bringing an organic frenzy to his meticulous productions. Glacial layers of sound swell and contract around tales of characters battling their inner demons, plagued by the dark consequences of scientific progress and the supernatural.
Silkarmour - Folk
Project Management
Apr 4, 2022
Silkarmour is an explorative musical project created by London-based producer and musician Enzo Samuel. Shifting aliases and formats over the last decade, the artist credits his obsessive, perfectionist tendencies as the force behind his deeply layered compositions. His latest track ‘Folk’ explores the fashion of anonymity and references the 2002 documentary ‘Tokyo Noise’, wherein audience members are seemingly hypnotised and tormented by the intensity of a performance. The original mix of ‘Folk’ — a name that alludes to humanity’s ancient nature of obsession is joined by two edits. The first from Black Midi’s DJ Dairy and the second from MM’99.
Sevdaliza - SS22 Cover
Writing
Mar 1, 2022
Sevdaliza is an artist who has always been at the forefront of creativity, from early videos delving into 3D render work to her outstanding sonic exploration, she, for many, stands at the vanguard of creativity itself. However even with the following she has amassed Sevdaliza remains underrated for the true creative force she is. One could say with some conviction that the music industry and the systems that be have looked to push her as an independent artist to the side. This only caused her to push back and become an artist now known for being fiercely independent from the woes of a gluttonous and exploitative industry as she forged her own path and gave herself her own dues.
Coucou Chloe
Writing
Jan 17, 2022
Coucou Chloe’s music often sounds like it's being played through speakers at a party that have already partly blown, destroyed by sub-bass. It creates a feeling of things being pushed to their limits. Her music demands to be played loud. You must obey, listen, become dominated, dominate as its energy channels through you, characteristic in its simultaneously restless and assertive full-throttle movement. This is to all be expected by an artist who is a founding member of Nuxxe collective alongside Sega Bodega and Shygirl.

Caroline Polachek - AW21 Cover
Writing
Nov 23, 2021
In Caroline Polachek’s world, we are surrounded by fluidity, systems and artefacts of a modern life imbued with a beauty and rich- ness that represents both the dark and the light in our world. In between these polarities of modern life lies an artist focused on the now, inherently self-aware and deeply philosophical – an artist who is compelled to express the intense emotions in life. Her creations are sewn together by the same gold thread which can be traced through all historic artistic expressions of the human condition. Listening to her music often feels like a heavy weight pressing on your chest suddenly being lifted, or the sharp inhalation of cold air at the top of a mountain just before passing out from oxygen deprivation.
Nukuluk - Disaster Pop

Nov 17, 2021
Nukuluk is an experimental hip-hop collective based in South London. Their chaotic sound draws off a series of eureka moments during studio play, a broad church of influence and a symbiotic relationship within the group. Zoee
Writing
Sep 17, 2021
Zoee’s journey as an artist has been interesting, hidden at first as the anonymous vocalist from Hey QT the iconic PC music banger. She then released a smattering of her own singles at various iconic labels including Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs and Vegyn’s Plz Make It Ruins, but as an artist was not truly out of the undergrowth. In Flaw Flower her debut album however we see her given a larger space to flourish and become an artist completely in her own right.

Giant Swan return with their latest EP 'Do Not Be Afraid Of Tenderness', a tempest of cataclysmic beats, shard-like synths and howling yet vulnerable vocals. Reflecting on the projects’ foundations, the Bristol techno duo conjure memories of “sweat, undress and inebriation” and explore a newfound understanding of the power in tenderness, all the while reminding us what we are missing by not hearing music on a fat sound system.
